Notes: A charming & colourful piece presenting an assortment of chōchin 提灯 - paper lanterns - outside a store likely found along Yume Kyobashi Castle Road in Hikone, Shiga prefecture. The street stretches from nearby Hikone Castle but was only recently rebuilt in 1995 (now featuring many restaurants, cafes, & souvenir stores), as a means to recapture the character of the former castle town as it once stood during the Edo period.
