Notes: An incredible print by Gijin Okuyama, the son of Gihachiro Okuyama, titled “姫路にの門” (Himeji Castle "Ninomon" Gate). Designed and carved by Gijin Okuyama and seemingly printed by his father, his work offers a striking view of にの門 (Ninomon Gate) - the second gate of Himeji Castle - and the narrow passageway leading to the main keep. Featuring the iconic clay-fired 瓦 (“kawara”) roof tiles and fortified gate, the composition highlights the craftsmanship and historical importance of the Castle.
