Notes: A special & collectable piece depicting Ay-O’s own cat 次郎 Jiro! Jiro was a Russian Blue & modelled for a series of prints - initially this piece *ねこ (Cat), Raisonné No: #341-A, which was published alongside a “-B” counterpart (no background) in 1978. A further two fun Jiro pieces followed: “あくび (Yawn)(#342.), & “叫び”(Scream)(#344.). Ay-O was convinced by friends to produce some of these prints in a larger edition of /500 given many peoples’ affection for the animal. Despite initial poor demand at the time, they are arguably some of Ay-O’s most sought after pieces today.
